Don’t Slouch

Traces outlined by memory never forgotten
Eternal images persuade future thoughts
The way he stood tall, proud, and honorable
“Up against the wall.”
“Don’t slouch.  Shoulders back.”
“Learn to stand”
“Stand for something”
Example is a living sermon
Like a lion dancing rock to rock along the mountains edge
Majestic and powerful
“When you see me do it, then you can.”
He demanded respect and expected discipline
Who is the man inside?
I don’t know him.
I wish I knew him.
Should I know my father?
