Just Once Won't Hurt

Just once won't hurt
I used to think, before I went too far
I thought I was invincible
And tried to stop a car

It hit me going thirty-five
And sent me through the air
Skidding down the road
I felt my skin and muscles tear

Blood escaped from every poor
They thought that I would die
"Just once won't hurt" rang through my head
Don't listen to the lie!
