The Awakening

My eyes are finally open
I see the world as new
I’m ready now to make my mark
I know what I’m to do

The future is my vision
Success will be my quest
Work is how you find your dream
Nothing’s gained from rest

Wasted time destroys us all
Idleness brings death
Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair
Said Shakespeare with MacBeth

Dreams will slowly fade away
If you just let them die
You have no chance to find your dream
If you’re not there to try

To start a life it takes a seed
The kind you want to be
Then planted it will find some root
And grow into a tree

What kind of tree will I be?
Will I grow up strong?
These are answers you must find
As you move along

Be mindful of the life you choose
Whatever life you lead
It will reflect in some respect
Upon your type of breed

Remember who you were before
And who you want to be
Then do your best in all the rest
To trim and prune your tree
